Con un gran cierre, la clavadista mexicana Laura Sánchez le dio a México el domingo su quinta medalla de los Juegos Olímpicos de Londres al ganar el bronce en el trampolín de tres metros.

Sánchez, de 26 años, totalizó 362.40 puntos y fue superada sólo por las chinas Wu Minxia y He Zi.

Fue la tercera medalla mexicana en los clavados, donde antes ganaron plata las parejas de hombres y mujeres en plataforma de 10 metros.

Sánchez tuvo sus mejores puntuaciones en el cuarto y sexto saltos, en los que recibió 75.00 puntos en cada uno.

Sánchez es una especialista en trampolín que el año pasado le dio el oro a su país en los Juegos Panamericanos de Guadalajara 2011, además de un sexto puesto en los mundiales de clavados.
