Comic book characters, popular cartoon stars and all sorts of movie figures have taken over the Jacob Javits Center for this weekend's New York Comic Con. The huge glass structure on the Hudson River has never been so full of excitement.

Comic book characters, popular cartoon stars and all sorts of movie figures have taken over the Jacob Javits Center for this weekend's New York Comic Con. The huge glass structure on the Hudson River has never been so full of color and excitement.

The New York Comic Con is running through the weekend. It's sold out, and scalpers around the entrance may help you out if you simply must have tickets. But if not, enjoy the slide show. It's a color mix of characters who are out and about having fun buying comic memorabilia and meeting their favorite artists, writers and characters.
