MTA's Nostalgia Train Rides Are Back This Year

Whether you are a nostalgic senior, a starry-eyed kid or a train enthusiast, this is truly amazing. Every Sunday from now until December 26, if you use the 6 avenue line between the Queens Plaza and 2 Av stations, you can ride on many actual vintage trains from the 30's and 40's to the 70's. The "Nostalgia Shoppers' Special Train" is a yearly tradition the MTA runs during the holidays, where functioning antique train cars come complete with incredible historical details like wicker seating and vintage subway ads.

Departures run roughly every hour and a half starting at 10AM at the 2 av stop on Sundays.
