"Live! With Regis and Kelly" has announced its second guest host who will join Ripa on the show following Philbin's departure. Deadline Hollywood reported that Neil Patrick Harris will co-host the program from November 28 - December 2.

Philbin will tape his final show on Friday, November 18. While Philbin's departure will mark the end of an era, the show has been making plans for life post-Philbin. Ripa recently extended her contract through 2017.

"Live!" has not announced any plans for a permanent replacement host. The show will rotate guest hosts following Philbin's last show. Jerry Seinfeld will appear as the show's first guest host from November 21 - 23.

The media world has been preparing for Philbin's planned exit. Philbin has been interviewed a number of times in recent weeks, reminiscing on his wildly successful television career. "Live!" has also announced its plans for an epic final show.
