Netflix has come to Android.

A company blog post published on Thursday announced that a Netflix app for smartphones is available for free at the Android Market.

But not all users will be able to enjoy streaming movies on their Android phones. Not yet, anyway. Only certain devices running Android 2.2 or higher will support the app at this time.

Compatible devices include the HTC Incredible, the HTC Nexus One, the HTC Evo 4G, HTC G2 and the Samsung Nexus S.

"In the absence of standardization, we have to test each individual handset and launch only on those that can support playback," according to the blog post.

Netflix said more devices will support the app soon.

Visit Netflix's Android partner page to see if your handset supports the app.
