Dogs are some of the most loyal, talented animals out there and can be the perfect pal to have around after a long day. That's just the sentiment captured in this adorable animated short.

The video was uploaded to Vimeo by user Madeline Sharafian, who says it was part of a California Institute of Arts program. An unnamed pooch is seen waiting by the door for his human before hilariously cooking an omelette filled with a crunchy surprise.

"I wanted to make something that focuses on how meaningful it is to make food for someone you love," she wrote in a description of the video. "My family's lives practically revolve around cooking for each other, so it's a theme that I'm deeply attached to."
