What It's Like To Shoot A Sex Scene, According To Lena Dunham

What really goes through actresses' heads when they're shooting a sex scene? The Hollywood Reporter rounded up some of the best women in comedy to find out.

Lena Dunham ("Girls"), Amy Schumer ("Inside"), Ellie Kemper ("Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt"), Gina Rodriguez ("Jane the Virgin"), Tracee Ellis Ross ("Black-ish") and Kate McKinnon ("SNL") cover this week's issue of THR. Inside, they talk about filming sex scenes, sexism in Hollywood and why there's such a lack of women on late-night TV.

Dunham, who's been in a fair share of sex scenes on her HBO show, said that while most people describe filming a sex scene as "mechanical," the experience is totally different for her. "It feels like someone f--king you!" she said. "It's confusing." While Kemper has never done a sex scene, she had a more adorable response to her kissing scenes. "I am so prudish that when I've had to kiss someone in a scene, I think for the next hour that we're in love!" she said.

THR also brought up Jon Stewart's replacement on "The Daily Show," asking Schumer why there's such an absence of women on late-night television. "I think people hate women," Schumer said. "I don't think they want to hear a woman talk for too long. A lot of people project their mom yelling at them." Dunham joked that CBS CEO Les Moonves was "asleep in a cave somewhere far away." If so, can someone wake him up, please?
