When Ally Brooke Hernandez took a trip to a Waffle House, she got more than just breakfast.

The Fifth Harmony singer recently ate at a local restaurant in Birmingham, Ala., where she tried a waffle from there for the very first time (she's usually an eggs-with-Texas-toast kind of girl). After enjoying her meal, Ally decided a pancake was in order. But as she made her way to the Pancake House across the street, she was hilariously ambushed by Shawn Mendes.

Once she caught her breath, she resumed her journey to the Pancake House only to discover that it was closed.
