Veronica Moser-Sullivan, Youngest Aurora Shooting Victim, Laid To Rest Tuesday

Funeral For Youngest Aurora Shooting Victim Held Today

Governor John Hickenlooper (D-Colo.) ordered flags to be lowered to half-staff on Tuesday in memory of the youngest victim of the Aurora theater shooting, Veronica Moser-Sullivan.

A private funeral mass was scheduled Tuesday for the 6-year-old at the Church of the Risen Christ in Denver.

Veronica was in theater No. 9 with her mother Ashley Moser, when accused gunman James Holmes, 24, opened fire killing 12 and wounding 58 others.

Ashley Moser, 25, was in critical condition immediately after the shooting and was not told of her daughter's death until July 23.

She was left paralyzed and suffered a miscarriage after the shooting.

Veronica was the last victim of the Aurora massacre to be laid to rest, her funeral was delayed while her mother underwent rehabilitation.
