Little Blue Run. It sounds so beautiful. And it was, until millions of tons of coal ash waste were reportedly dumped into it, turning what was once a stream into an industrial pond. Now, all that's blue are the trees tinted by the ash.

According to The Center For Public Integrity, the arsenic-filled waste dumped into this Pennsylvania pond from a nearby coal-fired power plant has adversely affected local residents, leaving them fearing for their health. Residents claim it has increased the prevalence of allergies and certain cancers. As the toxic waste continues to pile up in their community, the EPA is currently debating how to address the coal ash problem.
