Mr. Micheletti, previously the president of the Honduran Congress, became president of Honduras upon the departure of Manuel Zelaya. He is a member of the Liberal Party, the same party as Mr. Zelaya.
No matter how one feels about the recent events in the Central American country that saw the elected president, Manuel Zelaya -- a pal of Venezuela's president, Hugo Chavez -- arrested and then deported, the word "departed" does not describe Zelaya's forcible removal -- coup d'etat, anyone? -- by the Honduran military. A news story in the same WSJ edition described Zelaya as having been ousted "at gunpoint."
