One of the best things about spring are the boatloads of baby ducks wandering around -- as long as they're not messing up your commute.

In this adorable video posted by YouTube user Faisal Mahmood, a brood of ducklings is seen trying to overcome their fears and jump down the steps of a library at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.

While they may be cute, just make sure to keep baby ducks outside as they don't make for good pets. The average duck poops once every 15 minutes and the CDC recommends washing your hands after coming into contact with them as they "often" carry Salmonella.
