Honduras derrotó 2-1 a Estados Unidos en el inicio del Hexagonal Final de la CONCACAF (VIDEO)

Honduras remontó y venció a EEUU con un golazo (VIDEO)

Un golazo ayudó a la selección de Honduras para venir de atrás y al final lograr imponerse a su similar de Estados Unidos en San Pedro Sula 2-1, en el primer juego del Hexagonal final de la Concacaf rumbo a Brasil 2014.

El próximo encuentro del equipo centroamericano será de nueva cuenta en Honduras, pero ahora enfrentará al combinado de México (22 de marzo); mientras que el equipo norteamericano recibirá a Costa Rica (23 de marzo).

EL JUEGO
Desde los primeros minutos el conjunto de las barras y las estrellas salió cauteloso, cediéndole la pelota al cuadro catracho, pero éste no tuvo la profundidad para poder inquietar al portero Howard; sin embargo, Estados Unidos fue el primero que tuvo un asomo en el marco rival por medio de Dempsey.

Honduras tuvo sus primeras llegadas por medio de Roger Espinoza, quien se empezó a convertir como en el hombre importante de su equipo, pero fue nuevamente el cuadro viistante que llegó con peligro, ahora fue Altidore al 29' que logró conectar con la pierna un centro por el lado izquierdo que se fue por encima de la meta de Valladares.

Pero por fin el equipo local hilvanó una jugada de peligro al 30', la cual salió de los botines de Espinoza, quien logró meterse por el corredor izquierdo y mandar diagonal matona, pero ningún compañero logró cerrar cuando el portero enemigo ya estaba fuera de la jugada.

Cuando el cuadro catracho estuvo más cerca del gol, luego de un disparo de Maynor Figueroa fuera del área grande, Estados Unidos silenció el estadio con el primer gol del partido al 36', donde Jermaine Jones en tres cuartos de cancha filtró bombeado a la llegada de Dempsey, quien de volea mandó al fondo.

Pero el equipo del timonel Luis Fernando Suárez logró reaccionar antes de que terminara el primer tiempo (40') con el gol del empate, después de que en un tiro de esquina por el lado derecho Bernardez recuperó por el otro lado, recentró para Maynor, quien de pecho se la puso a Juan Carlos García y éste de chilena mandó a las redes para un golazo.

El segundo tiempo comenzó muy pausado por parte de ambos conjuntos, pero fue el cuadro centroamericano que tuvo la primera de peligro al 51', luego de que Costly cedió la esférica a Óscar García por el lado derecho y éste, en buena posición, sacó fuerte disparo que se fue por un lado.

Honduras siguió siendo mejor en el terreno de juego y al 56 consiguió la anotación de la voltereta por conducto de Carlo Costly, pero el silbante lo anuló por una clara posición adelantada del delantero catracho.

Estados Unidos sufrió para tener el balón, por lo que su timonel, el alemán Jurgen Klinsmann, mandó dos cambios con el objetivo de darle otra cara a su equipo en este segundo tiempo, sobre todo en el ataque.

A pesar de que la escuadra norteamericana logró equilibrar las acciones, en dos descuidos el cuadro local estuvo a punto del segundo gol, siendo un disparo fuera del área grande de Jerry Bengtson que dejó mudo al portero Howard.

Mas en sendos descuidos de la zaga estadounidense al minuto 79, Honduras consiguió el tan ansiado gol, luego de que Óscar García le ganara una pelota filtrada a González y Howard para pasársela a Bengtson, quien le ganó la espalda a Johnson para solamente empujar a las redes.

En los minutos finales Estados Unidos no tuvo respuesta y Honduras sobrellevó las acciones, por lo que el encuentro quedó sentenciado con el triunfo del equipo local.
