Broadway legend Patti LuPone and Architectural Digest Editor-in-Chief Margaret Russell received top honors at the Human Rights Campaign's (HRC) 2014 Greater New York Gala.
LuPone, most recently seen on TV's "American Horror Story: Coven," and Russell each received the 2014 HRC Ally for Equality Award in honor of their longtime support of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community. Meanwhile, ALcoa, Inc. was recognized with HRC's Corporate Equality Award, having received a perfect score of 100 the HRC Corporate Equality Index since 2009.
Headlining the Feb. 8 event was U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, while designer Nate Berkus, Tony Award-winning actress Tyne Daly and "Looking" stars Murray Bartlett and Frankie J. Alvarez were among the revelers at Manhattan's Waldforf Astoria Hotel.
