Paul Rieckhoff is the Founder and Executive Director of Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA), the nation's first and largest non-partisan, nonprofit organization representing veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. I spoke with Rieckhoff yesterday at the Personal Democracy Forum in New York where he just concluded a press conference announcing the 2009 first quarter results from the Veterans Support Campaign, which launched in November. The on-line and on-air campaign, anchored by Ning-based CommunityofVeterans.org, was established to support veterans coming home. The first quarter brought in $26 million in donated media.
