Award-winning comedian Josh Thomas will bring his Australian comedic-drama series "Please Like Me" to the shores of the U.S next week. Set to premiere Aug. 1 on the new cable channel pivot.tv, Thomas created, writes and stars in this series based on his own awkward and painful coming-of-age experiences.

Centered around a 20-something discovering his sexuality while simultaneously dealing with a handful of other life problems, the series has also generated an Internet campaign encouraging others to embrace their past, painful experiences and inner selves.
