Stay-at-home mother and military spouse Lori Bell knows firsthand the struggles military spouses face every day while their loved ones are actively serving.

That is why she created the online support group the National Association of Military Moms and Spouses (NAMMAS), which offers tips on how to get through a long-term deployment as well as advice on finances and child care. She came up with the idea after her husband returned from a deployment in Afghanistan.
