México busca su boleto a cuartos de final en la Copa Oro ante Martinica (PREVIA)

"Es David vs Goliat", así describió Patrick Cavelan, técnico de la selección de Martinica, el partido de este domingo ante México por la Copa Oro.

El Gigante de la CONCACAF no pasa por su mejor momento, acumula críticas, derrotas y muchas dudas este 2013, en el que fracasó en la Copa Confederaciones y vive un momento complicado en las Eliminatorias. Ahora busca amarrar su boleto a los cuartos de final ante el débil equipo caribeño.

El 'Tri' debutó con sorprendente derrota ante Panamá, para luego vencer a Canadá 2-0. Martinica por su parte ganó a Canadá el primer encuentro y perdió en el último minuto frente a los canaleros.

No obstante la diferencia de nóminas entre ambos equipos, José Manuel de la Torre, aseguró que se prepara para este choque como si fuera a enfrentar a los mejores equipos del mundo.

"No hago diferencia preparo lo mismo contra Brasil, España, el que sea, de la misma forma, nuestras circunstancias, las del rival y con base en eso, seguimos trabajando fuerte", expresó en conferencia de presa previo al juego.

México no buscará golear a Martinica como hacía hace años, cuando registra marcadores de hasta 9-0.

"Las comparaciones son odiosas, son otros tiempos y punto, ya no se puede golear igual", sentenció 'Chepo'.

En el otro partido del día Panamá buscará el primer lugar del grupo ante Canadá. De ganar cerrará perfecto y asegurará la cima.

El juego comenzará en punto de las 18:00 hrs este en el Sports Authority Field.
