Last night many New Yorkers were out supporting great causes.

George Clooney (and his gorgeous girlfriend) and Robert Kennedy Jr. for attended the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice & Human Rights Ripple of Hope awards dinner. For the Reeve children, the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation's A Magical Evening 20th Anniversary Gala was a rousing success.

Members of the fashion elite, Oscar de la Renta, Diane von Furstenberg and Mario Testino, attended a private preview of 'BALENCIAGA: Spanish Master' at The Queen Sofia Spanish Institute. And members of the literary world, Tom Wolfe and National Book Award Winner Patti Smith were present for the National Book Awards.
