Turbulence In The Aisle: Women Brawl Over Boom Box On Plane

Police chalk it up to a "mutual combat situation."

Five women brawled over a boom box on a flight to Los Angeles International Airport Wednesday but none -- at least for the moment -- has to face the music.

The participants were not charged after they were interviewed on the ground, law enforcement told the Los Angeles Times. Office Rob Pedregon called the incident a “mutual combat situation.”

Tensions escalated on the Spirit Airlines flight from Baltimore to Los Angeles when two "drunk" women began playing a boom box too loudly, the airline told ABC 2 in the segment above. When fellow passengers complained, the two held the device above their heads to further irritate those aboard. As the objections mounted, the women challenged passengers to do something about it.

Three other women responded, and the fight was on.

The FBI was also called in to investigate, the Associated Press reports.
