1. The Flock of Seagulls
Their 1982 hit “I Ran” made New Wave rock group A Flock of Seagulls famous. But it was frontman Mike Score’s hairdo that made them infamous. Only briefly popular, the avian-inspired style has been parodied by TV shows like Friends and movies like The Wedding Singer ever since.
