It's Friday in August, and people like animals, so via Media Monitor Jon, here's a video of a CNN reporter, Deborah Feyerick, assisting in the birth of a calf. It is a long, difficult task, which CNN covers in exacting and graphic detail. Watching Feyerick perform under pressure calls to mind the all the hands-on reporting Anderson Cooper did in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, absent anything even remotely high-stakes.

As you might expect, CNN got the exclusive.

So there you have it. This is the most meaningful contribution the media has made to health care reform.
