This dog didn't score a goal but still got a hero's exit.

In the first half of a Brazilian soccer match between Oeste and Capivariano Wednesday, the adorable pooch wandered onto the field and got in some running. An Oeste player tried to pick it up but the dog snapped. Then Capivariano's Alex showed a better touch, scooping up the pup. He carried it a bit to applause before handing it off to a stadium employee.

The sweet moment scored big on Imgur.

Capivariano won the match, 2-1.
