There are both snafus and surprises around every corner at New York Fashion Week. One of the biggest (and best) surprises thus far was Janelle Monáe performing at Rebecca Minkoff's Spring 2014 runway presentation in collaboration with the “American Express Unstaged” series.
That's right, "The Electric Lady," dressed in her signature black-and-white uniform, provided the perfect live soundtrack for Minkoff's models to strut to -- in tall gladiator sandals, no less. The edgy Frida Kahlo-inspired collection is filled with plenty of covetable looks, like floral hand embroidered separates, leather miniskirts, billowy dresses and a slew of bold leather handbags that we can't stop drooling over.
Between Janelle's electrifying performance and all that awesomeness coming down the runway, we'd say Minkoff is in the running for the best show this week.
