Gina Rodriguez received some exciting baby news, and it has nothing to do with her character’s pregnancy on CW’s “Jane the Virgin.”
The star was just surprised recently by co-star Justin Baldoni, who plays Rafael in the series, with a special video announcing that he and his wife were expecting their first baby. The video, titled “Justin and Emily: The Surprise,” was shot sometime in December but was posted online last Thursday.
“Recently our family was blessed with some AMAZING NEWS! This is how we chose to share it with our loved ones :),” the captions reads.
The video starts out with the actor sitting down his friends, family and co-workers. Then Baldoni appears and introduces it as “a gift” and a “year in review," which seems to be the case until the show’s iconic narrator reveals the couple's baby news in an unexpected way.
The clip was produced and released by Wayfarer Entertainment, which was co-founded by Baldoni and also produced the actor’s viral proposal to wife Emily Foxler in 2013.
