Bear break-ins and other encounters are flooding the phone lines at the Tahoe Bear League with 150-200 calls a day, and Nevada wildlife officials report having killed 13 bears so far this year, three times the usual number.
"This season has been the worst I have ever endured," Ann Bryan of the Tahoe Bear League says. "It's just out of control."
