CNN officially has one primetime spot to fill, the void left by departing 8PM anchor Campbell Brown. And yet much of the buzz around the network centers on what will happen to Larry King, the one-time king of the newsmaker interview who has struggled in the ratings of late. The New York Post's Page Six reports that the network does not plan to renew King's contract when it expires next year, and the UK Daily Mail has reported that CNN is negotiating with former tabloid editor and reality star Piers Morgan to fill the spot.
