If something makes big enough news in pop-culture, you can trust the Internet will make a meme out of it.

So when NASA successfully landed Mars Rover Curiosity on the red planet a couple of weeks ago, and released its first batch of Mars surface photos, you better believe people got a little creative with Photoshop.

Though (disappointingly, for some) the Mars photos that NASA released didn't feature any little green men or signs of a previous civilization, that didn't stop people from letting their imaginations run wild.
