Obama Campaign Releases Ad Attacking Paul Ryan (VIDEO)

Team Obama Strikes At Ryan
|

That was quick. Following Mitt Romney's Saturday announcement that Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) is his vice presidential pick, the Obama campaign released a video attacking Ryan's budget plan and Romney's past embrace of it. The plan reshapes Medicare into an optional voucher program, reforms Medicaid by giving block grants to states, cuts billions in discretionary spending and cuts taxes.

However, Romney reportedly will not embrace the Ryan plan, instead touting his own deficit reduction plan, according to GOP talking points.

Nevertheless, as the video shows, Romney has offered plenty of past praise for the budget plan. Democrats sense a political vulnerability in Romney's choice of Ryan, whom they see as more risky than other possible candidates, and have not wasted any time in criticizing his proposals.
