President Obama's Morehouse commencement speech attracted a great deal of attention. The commander-in-chief's message to young black men of the prestigious institution not to make excuses and serve their community was praised by many. However, others were not too happy with the president's address.

Criticism of the speech came pouring in shortly after the students' graduation day was over, calling Obama hypocritical and condescending. Twitter erupted into a frenzy as some chastised the president for being elitist and out of touch.

And while many African-Americans refuse to let Obama easily receive black support without somehow returning the favor, others are wondering why the man just can't catch a break.
