Since the beginning of October, more than 57,000 unaccompanied children have been caught at the U.S.-Mexico border trying to enter the United States illegally.
As the number of detained children grows, so does the number of politicians who have spoken on the subject.
Rep. Randy Neugebauer (R-Texas) has claimed the children are getting treated in a "lovely way" at the temporary facilities where they are being held. Republican congressional candidate Adam Kwasman, on the other hand, called a school bus of what he thought were undocumented minors (but were really YMCA campers) "an abrogation of the rule of law."
But some members of Congress are not concerned with the way the children are being treated. They're more worried about the drug- and disease-carrying "terrorists" who are "invading" our country and "polluting" our youth.
