Tiger Woods shared a rare personal confession Tuesday, saying he hadn't slept since his breakup with skier Lindsey Vonn, several outlets reported.
"It obviously does affect me," he told reporters ahead of The Players Championship in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. "It is tough, there's no doubt. I'm not gonna lie about that."
Woods said the double-whammy of the split, which he and Vonn announced publicly Sunday, and the nine-year anniversary of his father's death on the same day proved daunting.
"I haven't slept," he said in the interview, via Golf Channel. "And obviously with what happened on Sunday, it just adds to it." (Woods' words about his personal life begin at about the 13:00 mark.)
Woods and Vonn, who confirmed their relationship in March 2013, attributed the parting to hectic schedules.
