The National Hurricane Center has upgraded a tropical depression to Tropical Storm Earl in the Atlantic on Wednesday. The center predicts that the storm could reach the status of hurricane by Friday.

Winds are currently 40 miles per hour, but no coastal warnings have yet been issued, CNN reports.
