When mother-daughter duos arrange matching photo shoots, the results normally range from cheesy to cringeworthy. Ugne Henriko's black-and-white tribute to her mother, however, is the perfect combination of touching and visually arresting.
Mother on the left, daughter on the right.
For her series "Mother and Daughter," Henriko effortlessly mimics poses first struck by her mother 37 years ago. With a striking physical resemblance and a dedication to the source photos, Henriko mirrors the originals with incredible accuracy. At first glance, the photos appear more like kaleidoscopic reflections of each other than separate photographs of different subjects.
