Boys will be boys -- and then there's this.
A trio of 13-year-old boys allegedly looted a Wisconsin pharmacy for condoms and candy before threatening an employee at knifepoint.
The underage suspects, whose identities are being withheld, were spotted stuffing sweets in their pockets late Friday evening by the manager of a Walgreens store in Madison, The Smoking Gun reports.
The manager approached the suspects and asked them to return the treats. He told the boys that they "didn't need to get in trouble over this," according to a police report.
But the boys pulled the store's security alarm as they left and the manager followed them out to the parking lot. He offered again to let the boys off if they returned the stolen items, only to have a $15 package of condoms thrown at him and as one boy yelled “Don't you call the (expletive) police!” authorities said.
The manager said he called police after at least two of the boys threatened him with a knives, Channel 3000 reports.
According to the police report:
Three knifes were recovered: a 7-inch steak knife, a 5 1/2 inch steak knife, and a 4 1/2 inch steak knife. One suspect said he carries one for protection, another said he was cutting food earlier and had forgotten he had left the blade in his pocket.
The boys face tentative charges of armed robbery, retail theft, carrying a concealed weapon, disorderly conduct and intimidation of a victim, WSAW reports.
