If you name your cat after a celebrated scientist, don't be surprised if it suddenly spurns balls of yarn and decides to chase a deeper itch, one scratched only by the pursuit of knowledge.

For instance, this cat -- who happens to be named Hubble, presumably an ode to the celebrated astronomer -- is awfully close to discovering the secret to perpetual motion. All it needs is just bit more catnip to really get it going. Sure, it doesn't count as a closed system when there's a cat involved, just don't tell that to Hubble.
