A Florida teen allegedly stole his dad's car and led cops on a high-speed chase -- too bad his dad is a sheriff's deputy and the car he stole was a Palm Beach County Sheriff's cruiser.
Eric Rawdon, 19, is accused of taking the Crown Victoria cruiser on a 120-mph joyride through Jupiter before wrecking it, as real cops gave chase, the Palm Beach Post reports.
Florida highway patrol officers were called at about 11 p.m. on Monday to reports that Rawdon was in his dad's patrol car, CBS 12 reports. It's wasn't immediately clear how or why he got access to the cruiser, but he was allegedly able to elude police as he weaved through traffic.
He later crashed into a median, where he was arrested, WPBF reports. Nobody was injured.
He faces charges of reckless driving, eluding law enforcement at high speed, and grand theft auto.
His father, Kevin Rawdon, has worked for the sheriff's office since 2001.
