A 12-year-old Omaha, Neb., girl is accused of taking cell phone video of a physical education teacher showering.
The Nathan Hale Middle School student allegedly admitted she filmed the female teacher inside the girl's locker room, according to WOWT.
The incident took place on Feb. 13, according to the Star Herald.
The paper reports that the unnamed girl was "arrested on suspicion of intrusion of privacy and released into the custody of her mother."
Omaha Public Schools spokesperson David Patton said school administrators would decide what punishment to dole out to the 12-year-old.
"The penalty generally depends on the severity of the incident," Patton told the Herald. "Because law enforcement is engaged in this case, we would often follow the lead of authorities."
Usually it's teachers who make headlines for allegedly filming students.
Last June, an Idaho educator spent 45 days in jail for taping students who showered in his hotel room during a conference, according to WWLTV.
And in April, a Missouri teacher was accused of secretly filming at least 80 male students "as they were getting undressed to shower while at a school outdoor education camp," according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
