Well, she wasn't Miss Congeniality.
Kristhielee Caride was stripped of her Miss Universe Puerto Rico crown Thursday after an uncomfortable interview with a Puerto Rican newspaper, the New York Daily News reported.
The 24-year-old, who won the pageant just four months ago, had already aggravated officials by missing planned appearances and not rescheduling them, the Daily News wrote.
But it was a Sunday interview with El Nuevo Dia that apparently sealed her fate. According to Spanish-language broadcaster Univision, Caride declared in an interview, "I just do not like cameras."
Desiree Lowry, national director of Miss Universe Puerto Rico, witnessed the interview and had enough.
"I saw the damage that she was doing and the damage that she was doing to the organization," Lowry said at a press conference, per E! Online.
Lowry also said Caride missed several appearances due to doctor's appointments but refused to reschedule them.
Runner-up Brenda Jimenez was presented Thursday as the replacement.
