'Mommy Porn' Is On The Rise

How Does This Erotica Author Get Her Inspiration?

"50 Shades of Grey" was just the beginning.

CBS This Morning took a look at the rising trend in erotic romance novels, or "mommy porn," that has given traditional bodice rippers a run for their money. The interview naturally started with "the world's sexiest grandma," erotica author Desiree Holt, 76, who has been profiled by Huff/Post50 in the past.

But what's behind the genre's popularity? Privacy via e-readers.

"The nice thing with the e-readers [is] you can read anything on it and no one knows what you're reading," said Holt. "You could be reading one of my books, you could be reading Shakespeare."

Holt has written more than 140 erotic novels since September 2007, CBS News reports. How does she think of new storylines, and what's more, new positions? Watch the video above to find out her process and to learn more about Desiree Holt and the booming erotic fiction publishing business.
