Bryan and Janelle Burt were married on September 3, 2011.

The bride, 33, is an integrated marketing manager at Discovery Communications; the bridegroom, 37, is a math teacher at KIPP Will Academy.

Bryan and Janelle first met at Hampton University during her freshman year and his junior year. They reconnected years later at a CNN “Black in America” event and the rest, they say, is history.

The bride on her fondest wedding memory:

"When I look back to our special day, I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I was marrying my BFF and that my heart was so at peace. No anxiety or worry -- just joy. Plain and simple. The most memorable part of the day is that we ended it....Mr. & Mrs. ;-)"
