LAS VEGAS - Este sábado abajo del ring los entrenadores Roger Mayweather y Pedro Luis Díaz sostendrán un duelo paralelo al que sus pupilos - Floyd Mayweather Jr. y Miguel Cotto, respectivamente - tendrán en el Grand Garden Arena del MGM Grand de Las Vegas, Nevada. Pero cada uno ve un panorama diferente.

Para el ex boxeador Roger Mayweather, el presentar una estrategia ante Cotto no es necesaria:

"42 peleadores han intentado vencer a mi sobrino y 42 han fracasado. Esta vez serán 43. ¿Para que tener una estrategia? nos adaptaremos al estilo de pelea que traiga. Sabemos que Cotto va con la intención de hacer una estrategia de prueba y error y está muy equivocado. No puede hacer eso con mi sobrino".

El cubano Pedro Luis asegura que a pesar de la rapidez de manos de Floyd y la guardia hermética lograron desarrollar una estrategia que no fallará, pues están mentalizados para cualquier movimiento que tenga Mayweather.

"En el boxeo la victoria no la hacen ni el nombre, ni las palabras. La victoria se gana con los puños y una buena preparación. Para todo hay una medicina y buscamos la victoria. Miguel viene fuerte física y mentalmente, pues sabemos que Floyd va a intentar desesperarlo", aseguró.

Pedro Luis Díaz aseguró que esta vez Floyd tendrá cuidado al momento de intentar jugar con su oponente como acostumbra, pues sabe que está consiente de la peligrosidad del peleador isleño.

"Floyd sabe a que se enfrenta. Sabe que Miguel es un gran peleador y sentimos que esta vez no va a jugar. Podrá provocar lo que quiera pero con Miguel no jugará. Por nuestro lado, Miguel no caerá", finalizó Pedro Luis.
