Former "Brady Bunch" star Florence Henderson sat down with "The HuffPost Show" on Friday and recounted how she unexpectedly contracted pubic lice after a "little fling" with former New York City Mayor John Lindsay, a story she tells in her memoir Life is Not a Stage.
"It's not something I'm proud of but it's something that happened," she told host Roy Sekoff. "[John Lindsay and I] had a little fling one night and the next morning, I woke up and I had these creatures and I had no idea."
Henderson, who recently took to the stage for a APLA benefit show, quickly called her doctor, who broke the news to her.
"She says, 'You've got crabs.' [It] scared the heck out of me," Henderson said.
While Lindsay was definitely apologetic, he and Henderson never tried for a second date.
"He sent me flowers the next day and apologized," she said. "And of course, I never really saw him again."
