Fox Gets Head Stuck In Wheel; Rescue Successful (PHOTOS)

OUTFOXED: How Did He Get His Head Stuck In That Wheel? (PHOTOS)

Foxes are known for their intelligence, but there is one in Grays, Great Britain that may be feeling really dumb right now.

It seems the fox tried to climb through a hole in a VW wheel this past Friday and ended up getting its head stuck, requiring a rescue from area firefighters, TheEnquirer.co.uk reported.

An officer for the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals said the outfoxed fox somehow became stuck in a metal alloy. Officials weren't able to free it so the firefighters came and took the wheel off the car.

"It may have been there all night and it might have swollen up so it’s had to go in to be observed," the official said, according to the Daily Mail.

Despite what must have been a traumatic experience, the fox only suffered minor injuries and is expected to be released soon, EADT.co.uk reported.

Earlier this year, another fox got into a sticky situation. While renovating an office building, construction workers in Britain noticed a fox’s head protruding from the floor. Apparently, the animal had been attempting to maneuver through a section of flooring when it got stuck. (credit:5min/Geobeats/RSPCA)
