Así le pasó a Josh Hamilton y sus Rangers de Texas. Dejen les cuento algo acerca de él, pa mi, un ejemplo fuerte a seguir. Este muchachón estuvo en problemas de drogas y tuvo que dejar el beisbol por la rehabilitación. Ya curado, regresó con todo para ganarse el M.V.P en 2005, bueno, aunque hablemos bonito de él, éste tuvo un error grande en el center field, no pudo cachar un elevado de rutina y le echó la culpa al sol, je, je. Todos sabemos que hay 1000 maneras de hacerse güey, pos desde ese error ya no pudo batear nada en un juego clave y Texas quedó fuera.

También al que le entró sabroso la confianza fue a Coco Crisp (ah nombre tan mamón, Coco Crisp...). Pos le pasó igual que a J. Hamilton, tuvo un error en el center field. La gran diferencia fue que en el juego cuatro versus Detroit hizo un tremendo atrapadón en el central, agarró otra vez su juego y bateó el hit decisivo para llevar a su equipo de Oakland y seguir con vida y jugar el quinto encuentro contra los Tigres, pero hasta ahí llegó el equipo del "Money Ball". Los Atléticos se toparon con un gran serpentinero que tiró puros poemas desde la lomita (ah su madre, esa, me salió del alma), pero al chile, el pitcher de Detroit Justin Verlander la trae tiesa, ponchó a once, nomás recibió cuatro hits, y pichó las nueve entradas pa borrar a los contrarios de la lista.

También a los que se les apareció la bruja fue a los de Cincinnati, pero estos sí pa que vean que bárbaros, tenían todo bajo control y el Gigante remontó la serie de dos juegos abajo, ganando los próximos tres y en Cincinnati, con público ajeno y todo el pedo. Ni el tremendo bullpen de los rojos con los cuetes del cubano Chapman tirando rectas de 103 millas por hora (¿cómo chigados le pegas a una recta de 103 millas? , Pos nomás cierras los ojos y pones el bat, si no te pega en la cabeza ya chingaste!). Los Rojos tenían todo, muy buenos abridores, un muy buen infield con Phillips, ganador de varios guantes de oro, y al bateo con Joey Votto. Pos ni así, ¿saben por qué? Pos les salió la pinche bruja, esa que te #$#"!#"!" cuando estás confiado. Gigantes borró al rojo de la lista jugando gran pelota y pegando hits oportunos. Ese Grand Slam que bateó Buster Posey calló el estadio y sacó lágrimas al dogout de Cincinnati. Ese gran error de perder tres juegos al hilo, y en casa, no lo olvidaran nunca este año, no les van a dar dulces en halloween , el pavo les va a saber feo, que ni se pongan guapos pa navidad, que la cruda de año nuevo les va a durar harto, chance y hasta el próximo abril.

Este escrito lo ando armando en el avión, volando de L.A a N.Y, y me la voy a pelar porque no voy a poder ver el juego decisivo de Orioles vs Yankees. Esa serie se puso buena, estos dos equipos se estuvieron dando con todo en la temporada regular, puro estire y afloja como niñas de prepa. Yo, al chile, quiero que ganen los Orioles, como les dije una vez y se los vuelvo a repetir. Ellos juegan con corazón. Ahorita que llegue a N.Y les digo como vi la cuidad. Mi tour manager, Tom Baumgartner, fanático de los Orioles, me dijo que si ganaba Baltimore se iba a poner la gorra en el Bronx. Le dije que estaba loco, de ahí es Tyson y J.Lo, y se ven muy groseros.

Cuando faltaban dos horas para bajar del vuelo, un bato que iba atrás de mi grito que Yankees había ganado, y me pregunté si era brujo o adivino o qué, pues resulta que en el avión había servicio de WI- Fi (pa los macuarros que no saben que es eso, el WI-FI es Internet inalámbrico, o sea, que puedes ver mails, YouTube, YouPorn, google, etc) . Yo nunca me fijé, y gracias al bato que gritó eso, me enteré que Yankees habían ganado. La neta me agüité y chequé el scoreboard de ese juego. Me fijé que el pitcher de N.Y había tirado una joya de juego y que Joe Girardi, manager del equipo, hizo las decisiones correctas con todo y su papá recién muerto! Puso al Alex Rodríguez en la banca por no batear. Se ponchó nueve veces en menos de cinco juego, y llevaba solamente un hit en 17 turnos, o sea, que la clave fue tener al A-Rod en la banca. Aplausos para el jugador del partido que vio desde la banca el gran encuentro.

Por Twitter preguntaban que por qué los críticos nomás hablaban del fracaso de Rodríguez y no de R. Cano, que tampoco ha bateado nada. Y la simple repuesta es ésta: Cano gana 14 milloncitos y Rodríguez 30, es como si comparamos a Paulina Rubio con Maribel Guardia, ¿de quién van hablar mal los Chapoys y los Origeles?.

Llegando al hotel, me pongo a ver el quinto juego de Nacionales y Cardenales. La mentada bruja de la que les hablé hizo acto de presencia en la novena entrada, después de que Bryce Harper despertara en ese juego bateando un triple, un homerun, y llevar ventaja de 6-0; los Cardenales regresaron desde la sexta y en la novena, a un strike de ganar el juego, en Nacionales apareció este bato con apellido chistoso, " Descalso", y les pegó hit, impulsando dos carreras, de tal forma que así borraron a Nacionales de la lista y a domicilio.

Y así quedan las próximas series. En la Liga Americana, Yankees vs Detroit. Estos equipos traen a dos caballos fuertes, C.C. Sabathia por el Bronx y Justin Verlander por Detroit,. Los demás pichers se me hacen del montón. Los Tigres traen a Miguel Cabrera (ganador de la triple Corona), Fielder, y D. Young. Yankees, por su parte, trae a todos, aunque Jeter ya está viejillo y se fracturó el tobillo, y A. Rod no da una y le dicen el 'bochito", porque es un outito muy seguro. También tienen a Ichiro, Texeira, Cano, entre otros, y el héroe y jugador de 40 años Raúl Ibañez.

En la Nacional, los ganones son San Luis y Gigantes, los ganadores de la serie mundial de los últimos dos años. Los dos equipos tiene en la cajuels una palabra que vale más que nueve jugadores MVP's ,"suerte" y mucha. Los dos remontaron sus respectivas series con mucho nivel y ahuevo que con suerte.

"El juego es cábala y estilo, jugador que no tira percha no siente el beisbol"
