Before he was an Oscar-winning actor married to a Hollywood bombshell, Michael Douglas was just a 20-something aspiring actor playing small roles in big time films. Michael is pictured here in this sweet, vintage photo circa 1965, with his father, Kirk, on the set of the film "Cast a Giant Shadow." It was Michael's first film appearance, although uncredited.
Kirk, who's the spitting image of what Michael looks like today, was then at the height of his career in the mid-1960s, with roles in films like "Spartacus" and "Lonely are the Brave."
Just a decade after his film debut, Michael hit gold as producer when the 1975 film, "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest," won an Oscar for Best Picture.
Here's what they look like today.
Still looking dapper, fellas.
Correction: A previous version of this story reported that Michael Douglas was an actor in "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest."
