Este es mi primer post en HufPost Voces y vale confesar lo emocionada que estoy, aunque la clausura de los Juegos Olímpicos ha logrado contrarrestar el sentimiento. No hay manera de negarlo, la cursilería olímpica es algo que no puedo evitar. Nací en medio de los Juegos de Montreal donde la gimnasta Nadia Comaneci obtuvo el primer 10 perfecto y, al minuto siguiente, se convirtió en una leyenda. Sí... por eso mis papás me pusieron Nadia y no Natalia como tenían pensado.
La fiesta terminó pero, antes de que nos olvidemos de las preseas, los himnos y las competencias, me gustaría compartir con ustedes el trabajo del diseñador Gustavo Sousa quien, más allá de ilustrar números finales de Londres 2012, tomó los aros olímpicos para revelar datos sorprendentes de los continentes que participaron en esta justa deportiva.
¿Tienen idea de cuál de los continentes tiene el mayor porcentaje de obesidad, mortandad infantil, homicidios, prisioneros, gente con VIH, tiendas de McDonalds o ventas de Coca-Cola? Ya lo sabrán.
Notarán que la ejecución visual es hermosa, pero para entender la infografía deberán recordar que el aro Azul es Oceanía, Negro = Europa, Rojo = América, Amarillo = África y Verde = Asia.
