Tensions boiled over during a collegiate summer baseball game last weekend when the Humboldt Crabs faced the California Warriors in the Far West League elimination playoffs.
According to the Crabs' Twitter account, Humboldt catcher Sergio Sanchez was hit by a pitch in the bottom of the fifth inning. That's when Sanchez flung his bat at the mound in an act of retaliation. Both benches cleared and ejections were handed out after the scuffle died down.
The Crabs won the game 6-4, and eventually went on to win the championship.
