Virginia Woman Rams Husband's Car Into Two Utility Poles

If you and your spouse are playing bumper cars around town, the relationship is slightly unstable.

Police in Virginia arrested a 21-year-old Newport News woman early Monday morning after she allegedly rammed her husband's vehicle into several parked cars and two utility poles.

The couple's argument began inside their home, according to WTKR. Suspect Valerie Lacroix reportedly followed her husband in her own car when the man decided he had enough and began driving away from the couple's residence.

Authorities say that Lacroix used her vehicle to collide her husband's vehicle into a pair of parked cars. The couple then played chicken traveling southbound in the northbound lane of Warwick Boulevard. The scuffle ended when Lacroix's husband struck a fire hydrant and rammed into several utility poles, WAVY reports.

The crash cut power to approximately 50 homes in surrounding areas, a Dominion Virginia Power spokesperson told WVEC.

Lacroix is charged with attempted malicious wounding and malicious wounding.
