Burn, Baby, Burn! This Might Be The Biggest Bonfire Ever

Looks toasty.

All we need now is the world's biggest marshmallow.

More than 30 people spent several days in Alesund, Norway, to build an enormous bonfire standing 155-and-a-half feet tall. And then -- of course -- they burned it all down.

Footage from Saturday shows the magnificent tower in a blaze of glory on a small island off the coast of the town.

Several media outlets praised the bonfire as the largest in the world, but a spokesperson for Guinness World Records said the attempt has not been verified. Guinness says that an application for the record was received and that they are awaiting further evidence for review.

According to Guinness, the official tallest bonfire was lit on April 30, 2007, in Boštanj, Slovenija and stood 142 feet, 6.2 inches tall.

Record or not, that is a lot of fire.
